At partial baldness and hair loss

When the felling of the hair is at an early stage ligatures of the temporal arteries bilaterally is made under local anesthesia. In advanced forms a nest grafting of hair from the beck of the head is performed. At one stage up to 500 nests are grafted. The anesthesia is local. Usually the method is combined with transposition of flaps which form the front and lateral hair line. Recently quite successful is the expansion technique. The treatment lasts 4 -5 weeks but the end result is excellent.
